Spiral bevels have “curved” teeth and as such provide an efficient, quiet, smooth and durable method of transmitting a drive through an angle. Northern Tool and Gear produce Spirals from 50mm PCD to 700mm PCD on the latest technology CNC  “Gleason” cutting machines.

We have our own in-house heat treatment facility with a “quench press” to reduce distortion during heat treatment and ensure consistent high quality. NTG also have a reverse engineering/design  service, working from samples to produce spiral sets for obsolete  boxes or custom drives from scratch.
